"I work a lot with a domestic-violence and child abuse shelter in Pittsburgh. I'm constantly donating things, personal belongings. Some of these women leave their homes without anything - they just grab their kids and get out of the situation. And so a lot of these women have nothing, and they have to start from scratch. I think it's important to not only help with the necessities, but also to help rebuild their self-esteem - because it's really broken after they've been beaten down for so long."
